The best thing about a reusable pod is the freedom to choose any type of coffee that you can think of!

For the best experience you can go to your favourite coffee shop and ask for some fresh, ground-coffee and most will have some to sell you.

For the freshest experience you can purchase beans, store them in an airtight container and grind the coffee yourself!

Grocery stores also sell a variety of pre-ground coffee in sealed bags for a very reasonable price however it may not be as fresh.

There are also a multitude of online stores that sell unique, fresh coffee delivered straight to your door.

Experiment with different beans to find a flavour that you love!

Grind size is very important for your coffees flavour. We recommend a medium-fine grind size for the best results. Ask for this grind when you purchase your coffee.

Coffee pods typically have around 5g of ground coffee inside. Our reusable pods are slightly smaller and hold around 4.5g of coffee inside, this is to ensure the metal design can fit correctly and won't damage your machine.

The trouble with pods is that they are so small, a typical shot from your local coffee shop contains around 9g off coffee. To rectify this flavour problem people often run a long shot through their pod thinking it will extract more flavour but instead leaves them with a bitter, weak tasting coffee.

Instead use two coffee pods with a short shot run through them both to get the delicious, strong flavour that you're looking for.

The best way to clean your pods is to tip out the ground coffee into a container (which we use for compost) and then rinse them out with warm water. To give them a proper clean use warm soapy water.

You can place them in the dish washer to clean however this will degrade the seal over time so it is recommended to simply wash with water.

If your machine has been listed as compatible and the pods are used correctly then they are 100% safe and will not damage your machine.

They are slightly smaller than regular pods to avoid damaging the inside of your machine and there are pre-drilled holes in the pods where your machine would normally perforate the plastic coffee pods.

While the coffee tamper isn't necessary to enjoy making drinks with your reusable pods, it is recommended.

If your coffee is loose in the pod the water may run through too quickly causing a weak or flavourless coffee.

It is recommended to use the tamper to compress the coffee to ensure a delicious, consistent flavour.

You may have to experiment with how hard you tamp your coffee as if you press too hard the machine may struggle to push water through the pod. It shouldn't take too long to figure out the perfect amount of force to use.
